Description
Description
The SportsPlay Wheelchair Accessible Playground Sand Digger gives children with mobility challenges full access to sand play from their wheelchair, using a mechanical scoop arm they operate with both hands while staying seated in their mobility device. The accessible configuration removes the standard saddle seat so the digger bay is open from the front, allowing a wheelchair to pull directly into position. The cast aluminum alloy scoop and 1 5/8-inch OD galvanized pipe frame are the same commercial construction as the standard Sand Digger; the pivot point uses a self-lubricating ball bearing so the arm swings and rotates smoothly without regular lubrication maintenance. It is available in Permanent in-ground and Portable base configurations.
