Description
The Swirl Collar is a soft foam design that wraps around the neck and has a Velcro adjustment on back for easy fitting. Used for minor to moderate head support, this collar encourages easy head movement from side to side. Contraindicated for individuals with breathing or swallowing problems or who use a trach tube.
Because it is not attached, the Swirl can be used with any seating system and by individuals who are ambulatory. Properly fitted, the Swirl should make contact with the chin and jaw line. If the chin slides inside the collar it is too loose. You should be able to insert a finger between the neck and the collar to ensure that the collar is not too tight.
