The SportsPlay Primary Tripod Swing Set is a galvanized steel swing frame for playgrounds that want a classic, no-frills place to swing. Pick a top rail height of 8, 10, or 12 feet and a frame with 2, 4, 6, or 8 seats, then decide whether you want the complete set or just the frame.
Every frame pairs a 2-3/8" OD top rail with legs of 1-7/8" OD pipe in a tripod layout. Complete sets add black cut-proof seats, galvanized welded 4/0 chain, and self-lubricating hangers, and the whole kit ships unassembled with its instructions.

Taller frames let children swing higher and need a bigger use zone, so match the height to your play area and your users.
- 8' top rail: use zones from 32' x 33' (2 seats) to 32' x 66' (8 seats)
- 10' top rail: use zones from 40' x 33' (2 seats) to 40' x 66' (8 seats)
- 12' top rail: use zones from 48' x 33' (2 seats) to 48' x 66' (8 seats)
Each extra pair of seats adds 11' to the second use zone dimension. Seats come in pairs, so a 2-seat frame has one bay and an 8-seat frame has four.
IPEMA Certification
All 10' and 12' Primary Tripod Swing Sets, in every seat count, are marked IPEMA certified in the SportsPlay catalog. IPEMA runs a third-party program in which an independent lab checks a maker's claim of conformance to ASTM F1487 (excluding section 10 and section 12.6.1).
The 8' models are not marked as IPEMA certified, so choose a 10' or 12' frame if certification matters for your project.
