Description
Description
The SportsPlay Heavy Duty Modern Tripod Swing Set pairs a 3-1/2" OD top rail with 2-3/8" OD legs, all in galvanized steel, and puts a tripod support under each end. It comes in 8 foot, 10 foot, and 12 foot heights, built as a frame of one to four bays, each bay holding a pair of seats.
Complete sets include everything that hangs from the rail, which means hangers, chain, and seats, and all versions ship as knocked-down kits.
Why You'll Love It
- Top rail 3-1/2" OD, legs 2-3/8" OD, both galvanized steel
- A tripod support under each end
- Three heights: 8', 10', and 12'
- Frames from one to four bays, a pair of seats per bay
- Frame-only versions, with hangers if you want them
- Knocked down for shipping, with the packing list and instructions packed in the hardware bag
- Made in Park Hills, Missouri by SportsPlay Equipment
Frame Pipe Sizes
Both pipe sizes are galvanized steel. The top rail measures 3-1/2" OD, while the legs use 2-3/8" OD steel, so the top rail is the larger of the two.
The standard Modern Tripod uses a single 2-3/8" diameter, so the top rail is the main difference between the two swing sets.
Three Heights
The height sets the first use zone number, and the bay count sets the second:
- 8' height: 1 bay needs 32' x 33' and 4 bays need 32' x 66'
- 10' height: 1 bay needs 40' x 31' and 4 bays need 40' x 64'
- 12' height: 1 bay needs 48' x 33' and 4 bays need 48' x 66'
Version Choices
A complete set is the whole-swing order. For frame-only orders, the choices are:
- Whole set, ready to hang
- Frame plus the standard hanger set
- Frame plus the heavy-duty hanger set
- Bare frame
Use Zone Planning
Part numbers (MPN and SKU), zone dimensions, and shipping weight for your chosen size are all in the specifications table. Lay that area out on the site before you order.
Where It Fits
This swing set fits sites that need a taller frame with a larger top rail:
- Large school campuses
- City parks
- Multi-family housing play areas
- Churches, camps, and recreation centers
SportsPlay Equipment of Park Hills, Missouri builds it, and eSpecial Needs offers it.
Why We Like It
We like the SportsPlay Heavy Duty Modern Tripod Swing Set because its top rail is the larger pipe. Three heights let you fit the frame to your site. Complete sets include everything that hangs from the rail.
