The Special Tomato Recliner Support System allows your family member with special needs access to the best seat in the house! The first of its kind, the Special Tomato Recliner Support System has been designed to drape over and be secured to any ordinary recliner or piece of reclining household seating. Featuring a number of support options, the system allows individuals with poor postural control, abnormal muscle tone, significant strength deficits, or poorly balanced movement patterns to maintain a well-aligned position when reclining to promote comfort and security.

The Special Tomato Recliner Support System simply drapes over almost any recliner and is easy to secure using four padded straps once placed. The RSS offers a firm yet comfortable platform for positioning the hips and pelvis, the cornerstone of proper body alignment. The adjustable 5-Point Chest Harness and 3-Point Pelvic Harness safely maintain a stable well aligned position of the trunk and pelvis. The adjustable height headrest promotes a midline position of the head. The leg supports discourage excessive adduction/abduction and rotation of the hips and hyperextension of the knees.

When the system isn't in use, the Special Tomato Recliner Support System detaches easy and can be folded up and hung in a closet like a suit bag by its handle. Weighing only 10 pounds, it’s perfectly portable for bringing along on to a friend or grandparent's house. And every component of the RSS is easy to clean.

The Special Tomato Soft-Touch Liners can also be integrated into this system to enhance lateral (side) support and improve comfort. Soft-Touch Back Liner Sizes 2 through 5 fit on the RSS.
