Imagine work and play activities made a whole lot easier for a child or young adult by simply stabilizing one of their arms!
From our wide variety of Arm Anchors to easy-to position grab bars, our family of Anchors can go on any horizontal surface when your students or clients need a little extra stabilization. Great in the classroom, at home or in a sheltered workshop, our Anchors are portable and sturdy, but not too heavy. Suction mounted, they can be fastened instantly to any smooth, clean, horizontal surface - even wheelchair trays or stander trays.
Work, play and practice of self-supporting skills are so much easier with an Anchor. Best of all, regular use of an Anchor (or a pair) can help increase head and upper trunk strength and control.
Anchor Family Features:
- Lock the suction cup lever to attach the Anchor; lift the lever to release it. No slipping or shifting with the industrial-strength, 4 " diameter suction cup.
- Impervious to hard, constant use, Anchors are made of strong materials and built to last.
- The comfortable straps on the Wrist, Arm, and Elbow Anchors give extra security for the user’s forearm.
- Covered with easy-to-clean, non-textured naugahyde, the cushioned pad provides comfortable positioning with the Wrist, Arm, and Elbow Anchors.
- The handhold of the Arm Anchor extends in length, and adjusts for forearm rotation.
Choose Your Anchor:
- Rifton Anchors provide arm stabilization. With a secure anchor point for one arm, the user can perform tasks more easily with the other arm and hand.
- Regular use of an Anchor (or a pair of Anchors) can help increase head and upper trunk strength and control. Users with low tone receive support and develop strength for improved functional sitting. For users with high tone or movement disorders, the Anchor provides stability for increased functional use of the free hand and arm.
- Anchors promote inclusion and social development for the user. Anchors are portable and sturdy, but not heavy. They fasten simply and securely onto any smooth, clean, horizontal surface, a wheelchair tray, or a stander tray.
- Anchors are short-term positioning aids and are not intended for primary standing support or transfers.
Anchors are hand grips and portable grab bars for upper extremity stabilization of people with disabilities. These hand holds attach with industrial strength suction cups, so they are portable and positionable.
