At 27 months, it's hard to get children to sit still, but my son and his friend will sit and play with this, faking us out by pretending to put the block on the wrong peg, then switching to the right one, dropping it on, and looking up to us for approval. We name a color or a shape & ask them to point to the correct stack of blocks and say the word. Of course, his favorite part is holding it up high and turning it over to dump the blocks all over the floor and slide them around like knock hockey...

My daughter is two and she loves it! We use it to match colors right now, but it will be helpful for counting, too. Very durable. One of those simple but brilliant toys.

Great toy for 12 - 24 month range. My daughter (17 months) loves taking them off and replacing them.

Got this for my almost-four-year-old son, who has non-verbal autism. It is helping him learn colors already, and will aid in shapes and counting later. Nice, quality wooden toy/learning tool.
