Our Edge Series Carpeted Platform Swings provide a sense of movement for individuals who are physically disabled, can increase sensory motor awareness and add the element of fun active play to therapy sessions.
Platform swings are a staple piece of adaptive therapy equipment used in clinics, schools, home and indoor playgrounds. They are ideal for client’s who need to work on balance, trunk control and range of motion while sitting up on the swing. Other clients may benefit from lying prone to increase shoulder stability and head control.
Our square platform swing is useful in the development of a child’s sensory and vestibular systems! Different movement sensations and repetitive swinging motion has been known to help calm and regulate an over stimulated child. The platform swing is hand-crafted from 100% Baltic Birch, measuring approximately 28” x 28”, supports up to 300lbs and the removable carpet provides extra comfort.
The platform swing enables parents and therapists to work with children on vestibular orientation, linear acceleration, balance reactions and motor planning. Use the platform swing with our Heavy Duty Rotational Device for the added benefit of rotational therapy.
