Haley Joy was diagnosed with Autism a month before she turned three years old. Haley, like over 90% of those with Autism, suffered from Sensory Integration Dysfunction. Individuals with this disorder have an imbalance with their sensory function. Vestibular swings have been proven to help stimulate the sensory so individuals can concentrate better in therapy. Vestibular Swing therapy proved to be of a real benefit to Haley in aiding the therapists to engage her in therapy. In 2005, Haley's grandfather was tasked to put his 30 plus years of engineering experience to build her very own portable vestibular swing. Her family now endeavors to deliver commercial grade swing systems to serve children with similar challenges.
