Choose a Padding Type

The four padding types match the standard Spark Sensory Solutions panels:

• 100 Series, a classic foam with extra softness and cushioning: 1.375" of foam, 1.875" thick with board
• 200 Series, a medium-firm foam, listed under ASTM F2440 for impact resistance: 2" of foam, 2.5" thick with board
• 300 Series, a flex-firm foam: 2.5" of foam, 3" thick with board, with added cushion compared with the 200 Series, but less shock absorption and impact resistance
• 900 Series, a Class A E-84 foam: 2" of foam, 2.5" thick with board, with a smoke developed index of 350 and a flame spread index of 25 in testing of the standard panel under ASTM E84

Panel Construction

Layouts and sizes are custom, but the construction is not. Each custom panel is built the way the standard panel for your padding type is built: an OSB backing board, the foam layer for that series, and a flame retardant vinyl cover. The vinyl weight for each padding type is listed in the specifications.

Choose a Mount

Pick how the padding attaches to the wall:

• Z-clip on both the top and bottom, a fit for nearly any wall surface
• Z-clip on the top with a 1" nail margin below
• A 1" nail margin along the top and bottom, for walls of wood, drywall, concrete, or block
• C-channels along the top and bottom

Cutouts, Windows, and Doors

Need padding around wall-mounted fixtures? Panels can be cut to fit around outlets, light switches, return air registers, thermostats, and other openings, so the wall stays covered while building systems stay reachable. Give the location and size of each opening when you order.

• Access cutouts, added by quantity
• Window cutouts, added by quantity
• Door padding, with an optional door window cutout and lockset notch

Outside Corners

Where a wall turns out into the room, add outside corner padding. Corners are added by quantity, so you can match the number your layout needs.
