For parents of kids with autism, outings can often take a lot of planning and preparation. From figuring out where the bathrooms are, to calculating the spaces where your kiddo might be overwhelmed to planning strategies for sensory overload or elopement, summer outings can be a stressful event to plan. eSpecial Needs and Autism Speaks are working together with Six Flags St. Louis to plan help ease some of the planning and stress of a family outing to a theme park. On August 24, 2019, Six Flags St. Louis will have the following accommodations available:
  • Sensory-friendly park map that rates the sensory intensity of the roller coaster rides
  • Quiet, calm-down space for families and kiddos to decompress
  • Staff will be trained on elopement prevention strategies
  • Discounted rates for all guests
