eSpecial Needs, in partnership with the Recreation Council of Greater St. Louis, is proud to announce the first ever Cycle St. Louis events on January 9th and 30th. We'll be on hand to provide assessments to riders young and old of all abilities and suggest a great bike or trike they can use to join us for the many other great events planned for this year! Cycle St. Louis is a brand new endeavor made up of St. Louis organizations dedicated to creating cycling opportunities for children and adults with special needs in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Our goal is simple: provide training and access to any rider who wants it, as well as promote public awareness of the importance of cycling to their health and well-being. Through community rides, safety events and assessment opportunities, we're hoping our kick-off year helps lots of individuals get out and riding. These first Cycle St. Louis assessment events will be a great way to discover some great adapted cycles and find out what's out there for individuals of varying abilities. Attendees can also get an assessment from eSpecial Needs to help families find the best, most appropriate trike or bike for their loved one's needs. All assessments must be scheduled before the event, so please call for an appointment for either the 9th or the 30th at (636) 343-TASK. Then, come out to the event at TASK (Team Activities for Special Kids) in Fenton, Missouri for these exciting cycling events! For more information, call the Recreation Council directly at (314) 726-6044. You can also download the event flyer and Cycle St. Louis brochure to read more about Cycle St. Louis. And don't forget to watch out for other great events in the coming months!
