Fireworks In A Bottle is a great way to celebrate a sensory-friendly Fourth of July with kids who have autism and other special needs. These are as dazzling as fireworks and totally safe to create. Gather around the dinner table with your kids, combine these materials, and have a fantastic Fourth!

How to make Fireworks in a Bottle:

Materials:

Water Bottle

  • Water bottle
  • Water
  • Anything Red, White and Blue that you have around the house. We used Ribbon, Pom Poms, Beads, and a Glow Stick from a local dollar store. You can also use glitter, sequence, buttons, and anything small enough to fit inside the bottle.

After the bottle is filled with the "fireworks", fill it with water. Depending on what you include in your water bottle, you may want to hot glue the lid on. Check the bottles occasionally to watch for leaks. Enjoy!
